Get Ready for Cubs Convention 2008

Here it comes Cubs fans, the first sign of spring, the 23 annual Cubs Convention.  This is the true start of the baseball season.  Everyone gathers in the Grand Ballroom as Cubs legends and players are introduced to the crowd.  There are autograph hunts, question and answer sessions, memoribilia, and anything else a Cubs fan desires.  Among the former Cubs expected to attend are Ernie Banks,Glenn Beckert, Bill Buckner, Jose Cardenal, Andre Dawson, Fergie Jenkins, Dave Kingman, Bill Madlock, Andy Pafko, Lee Smith, Dwight Smith, Rick Sutcliffe, Steve Trout and Billy Williams. Current Cubs such as Ryan Dempster, Mark DeRosa, Scott Eyre, Mike Fontenot, Sean Gallagher, Kevin Hart, Rich Hill, Bob Howry, Derrek Lee, Ted Lilly, Sean Marshall, Matt Murton, Felix Pie, Carmen Pignatiello, Jeff Samardzija, Alfonso Soriano, Geovany Soto, Ryan Theriot, and Carlos Zambrano also are scheduled to attend. I will be there this year to report all the exciting new to you.  There will be photos of the Conventinon which I will hope to update regularly.  If there is anything you’d like me to ask any of the players or coaches, leave your suggestions in the comments section.  If you want to hang out and have a beer, look for the guy with a Crawly jersey on!
